Weight of abusive kin on ‘Us’ star

- Peter Sblendorio BY CHELSIA ROSE MARCIUS, JILLIAN JORGENSEN and LARRY McSHANE

“THIS IS US” co-star Chrissy Metz suffered from repeated abuse by her stepfather when she was a child, she details in a new memoir.

Metz’s stepfather — whom she refers to as Trigger — often harmed her physically and would make her get on a scale and mock her weight while she was growing up, the actress writes in her upcoming book, “This Is Me,” according to People.

“I don’t remember why Trigger hit me the first time. He never punched my face,” Metz writes in her book.

“Just my body, the thing that offended him so much. He shoved me, slapped me, punched my arm. He would hit me if he thought I looked at him wrong.”

Metz, 37, writes that she loved her stepfather despite what he put her through, and says he has since expressed remorse for their past.

The book comes out March 27.
