Dance pro teen harass deal
BIJAN WILLIAMS, choreographer to the likes of JAY-Z and Beyoncé, waltzed out of court Wednesday with a slap on the wrist after being charged last year with raping a teen in a swanky Manhattan hotel.
The 17-year-old victim said she woke up after a booze-fueled night last July in the Maritime Hotel to the 35-year-old dance instructor having sex with her. The girl said she tried to leave the room at one point, but Williams was asleep in front of the door — trapping her.
Williams had his charges downgraded to unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sale of alcohol to a minor. He copped Wednesday to second-degree harassment, a violation. An order of protection was issued barring him from having any contact with the teen.
In the wake of allegations against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, critics have said Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr.’s office goes too easy on celebrities.
