Grimm details over handicapped spot

- BY JOHN ANNESE and ANDREW KESHNER

HE’S aN ex-con and exlawmaker — and now a parking regulation breaker.

disgraced former rep. Michael Grimm can add one more broken rule to his résumé – he parked his silver Lexus in a handicapped spot.

The Staten Island advance busted Grimm’s dim parking fail in the act.

“My bad,” Grimm said to the advance, after the paper spotted his car at a New dorp strip mall.

He said he was in a rush to drop off something at his office, then took a swipe at the media, telling the advance, “However, the fact that this warrants a news story proves only that journalism is dead, while the unhealthy obsession with Michael Grimm remains very much alive.”

Grimm pleaded guilty to federal tax fraud in 2014. He admitted he hid $1 million in sales receipts from his Manhattan restaurant, hired undocumented immigrants and lied under oath in a 2013 civil deposition.

He resigned from his seat in Congress, and was sentenced to eight months in prison, serving seven.

He’s now running against rep. daniel donovan, the former Staten Island district attorney who’s parked in Grimm’s old spot on Capitol Hill. The two will square off in the June republican primary.

donovan spokeswoman Jessica Proud got snarky on the parking spot dust-up.

“Michael Grimm breaking a law? we’re shocked. It’s the same arrogant attitude from a guy who never thinks the rules apply to him. Leopards don't change their spots,” she said.

Proud also tweeted her derision, saying Grimm “was figuring out new laws to break” while donovan was busy with matters of national importance.

Grimm told his Facebook followers he never would’ve parked there if he saw the snow-covered blue line.

He sideswiped the incumbent, saying, “the only government job dan donovan is apparently fit to perform is meter maid.”
