‘Unqualified cash’ bid

ALBANY — Looking for unqualified success, actress Cynthia Nixon is attempting to raise campaign cash off an insult from a top Cuomo surrogate.

Nixon, who last week launched a Democratic primary challenge to Gov. Cuomo, began offering “unqualified lesbian” buttons for $5 and hinted a T-shirt could be next.

Former City Council Speaker and Cuomo ally Christine Quinn used the phrase. Quinn, who like Nixon is gay, later apologized, saying she shouldn’t have referenced Nixon’s sexuality.
