April will be dedicated to “sexual assault awareness and prevention,” President Trump announced Friday.

Trump, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by at least 16 women, kept a straight face Friday while declaring that sex crimes remain “tragically common in our society,” and “offenders too often evade accountability.”

The President, who was once caught bragging on tape that he can just “grab” women by the genitals because he’s “a star,” said that sex assault victims often stay quiet out of fear of retribution.

“We must respond to sexual assault by identifying and holding perpetrators accountable,” Trump said.

“Too often, however, the victims of assault remain silent. They may fear retribution from their offender, lack faith in the justice system, or have difficulty confronting pain associated with the traumatic experience,” he said in his presidential proclamation.
