PRESIDENT TRUMP invited Vladimir Putin to the White House for a summit during a call last month, a Kremlin aide claimed — but no details about the meeting have been announced.

Trump proposed the two nations open up a dialogue, beginning with a White House visit, when the two spoke on March 20, according to Putin aide Yury Ushakov.

“During a telephone conversation between our presidents, Trump suggested that the first meeting could be held in Washington,” Ushakov told reporters in comments reported by the Tass news agency.

The invite comes while the feds are investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election and the U.S. has expelled dozens of Russian diplomats in the wake of a nerve gas attack in England.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said nothing was set in stone.

“As the President himself confirmed on March 20, hours after his last call with President Putin, the two had discussed a bilateral meeting in the ‘not-too-distant’ future’ at a number of potential venues, including the White House,” she said.
