BAND ON THE RUN

Paul McCartney was already day tripping when he gave a standing ovation after a performance of “The Band’s Visit” at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. The show is about an Egyptian band that is slated to play in Petah Tikva, Israel, but winds up stuck in the fictional town of Bet Hatikva. As luck would have it, the former Beatle (above) is heading to Israel next month to receive the 2018 Wolf Prize in Tel Aviv. “This may be Sir Paul’s chance to explore Petah Tikva,” according to one Beatlemaniac.
