New book is crazy like a Fox
THERE will be no more distractions – beautiful or otherwise – for Vivica A. Fox.
Fox hosted a Tuesday launch party for her book “Everyday I’m Hustling,” which hit bookshelves that morning. Fox’s castmates from her new show “A Beautiful Distraction” came out to show support for the 53-year-old star and her tome, which is part memoir and part how-to.

Montgomery Frazier and actress Sean Young, who told us that it was “great to work with Vivica” on the sci-fi program. As we reported last month, it was Young who tried playing peacemaker to no avail when the show was filming at Grand Central Terminal and an Apple employee refused to let them shoot in front of the store.
Fox, who plays the lead female role in the show, caused a distraction off-screen when Confidential got an advance copy of her book and ran excerpts on March 18 that included her dishing about her fling with rapper 50 Cent. She called the relationship “cherished and special.”
Fitty wasn’t so nostalgic as he made clear on Twitter when the Daily News hit newsstands. “Waking up to this s***, that was 14 years ago. smh who does this?” he asked.
In her book, Fox writes that she and the “21 Questions” rapper had a rocky split, but reconciled in January 2017 after running into each other at a Knicks game. They dated on and off, starting in 2003, but continued taking occasional potshots at each other in the media before finally burying the hatchet.
Fox (photo) writes that she went up to 50 after game and said “We need to stop this,” to which he agreed. Still, there was no sign of Fitty at Fox’s Tuesday night party.
That’s where Fox made the rounds, but did not give a speech. Guests marveled over the gift bags, which included a copy of the book, Calvin Klein footies, Leggs pantyhose and a Swarovoski pen.
