If it’s your birthday

-

It’s time for you to pursue your professional goals with passion, rather than in fits and starts — or worse, waiting for them to happen. That means doing something you care about enough to persist at developing, and to be happy with once you succeed, because when you do, you’ll be doing it a lot. And you will emerge as a leader in your field. You share a birthday with Billie Holliday, Daniel Ellsberg and David Frost. SEPT. 23-OCT. 22 Don’t waste your day wrestling with your insecurities. It’s true that the whole world feels like a combination of war zone, earthquake zone and accident waiting to happen. It’s also true that you’re doing pretty well and have your options open. Get out of the house and do something you’ve never done. OCT. 23-NOV. 21 You may feel like big changes are coming, particularly at work, and you are correct. However, these are the kinds of changes you can use both to your own advantage and that of whatever cause you serve. For now, do your bit to keep things peaceful, positive and honest. Someone has to. NOV. 22-DEC. 21 You could fret over money, or you could make plan of action. Sometimes frustration and necessity serve as excellent motivation, so if you’re feeling those things, make sure you get busy and make some progress. Think bigger than you usually do; you need room to grow. DEC. 22-JAN. 19 You will need to watch your temper today. Don’t take out your anger on anyone else, and don’t take it out on yourself. Find someone you can vent to, whom you trust, who is not involved, and who possesses some wisdom. You’re not upset for the reason that you think. It is something else. JAN. 20-FEB. 18 We live in paranoid times, and processing fear is one of the most essential tools for psychological survival. Yet once you reach the master level, you learn how to harness that energy for the power it contains. You learn to master yourself. You are up to the task, and will benefit greatly. FEB. 19-MARCH 20 If you’re out among crowd this weekend, pay close attention to your surroundings, including your physical environment and the people around you. Stay alert and sober when you’re out of the house, and you might take the weekend off from social media, and stick to just being social. a
