Goons break in, tie up woman
TWO MASKED burglars broke into a Long Island apartment early Saturday and tied up a terrified 24-year-old woman who lives there, authorities said.
The robbers snuck into a large home in North Patchogue just about 3:55 a.m., Suffolk County Police said.
The victim, who lived in a separate apartment in the back of the home, heard them entering, cops said. The door to her apartment had been left unlocked, police sources told Newsday.
She was about to investigate when the crooks, both wearing ski masks, barreled inside, pushed her back and tied her hands with a cell phone charger cord.
They raided the home, swiping her cash and personal items, and fled. The woman was not harmed. There were no immediate arrests.
