Familia feels ‘fine’ but

-

WASHINGTON — Jeurys Familia was more worried about the lack of heat in the visitors’ bullpen at Nationals Park than the heavy workload he has had over the first full week of games in the season. Familia had to get five outs on Saturday for his second multi-inning save in seven games.

Mickey Callaway said that the Mets had taken advantage of the off days and the snow-out to use Familia probably more than they will during a normal schedule.

“You can’t be this aggressive the whole season,” Callaway admitted. “The off days, the snow days, helped out a lot. When we start playing 10 in a row, were going to have to be a little more cautious with guys. We will be, we wanted to benefit from the days off and those things and guys
