Bare truth on Cos
A TOPLESS protester who lunged at Bill Cosby and got tackled by cops outside the disgraced comedian’s sexual assault retrial Monday knew him from a bit part on “The Cosby Show” and wanted to get “in his face,” she told the Daily News.
“I just wanted him to feel my presence and to feel uncomfortable. I didn’t want him to just walk like, ‘La-di-da, it’s a normal day. I have my regular dignity, and I did nothing,’ ” protester Nicolle Rochelle told The News and a small group of reporters by phone.
“The main goal was to make Cosby uncomfortable, because that is exactly what he has been doing for decades to women,” she said after prosecutors charged her with disorderly conduct for the stunt in Norristown, Pa.
Rochelle, 39, argued it’s “mathematically obvious” Cosby is a serial predator, but she was adamant she never intended to physically harm the 80-year-old former TV star. “It was definitely a peaceful type of protest,” she said. “I wanted to approach him, but I didn’t want to touch him at all.”
Rochelle appeared in several episodes of “The Cosby Show” as a 12-yearold child actress and said she had no “bad experiences” with him personally. Bob Stewart, Peter Sblendorio and Nancy Dillon
