NYCHA staffer is arrested for shooting rival

- John Annese

A CITY Housing Authority groundskeeper faces attempted murder charges after he was accused of shooting a man in the stomach in a Brooklyn housing complex last month, police said Thursday.

Nasean Joseph, 34, and the 30-year-old victim, Emmanuel Turner, were embroiled in an ongoing argument over a woman, police sources said.

On March 28, Joseph shot the man in the stomach in a stairwell at the Bay View Houses on Shore Parkway near Rockaway Parkway, where Joseph lives, police said.

The man survived, and his sister identified Joseph as the shooter, police said.

Detectives searched social media, where they found out the two men knew each other, cops said. Police arrested Joseph Monday and charged him with attempted murder and assault.

He was carrying a loaded 9-mm. handgun when police arrested him.

Joseph, who works in the Howard Houses complex in Brownsville, is slated to be arraigned in Brooklyn criminal court.
