- Laura Dimon

A 65-YEAR-OLD woman was fatally struck by a hitand-run driver on a Brooklyn street, cops said Monday.

Dorothy Parker was rushing to catch the bus on Remsen Ave. between Church Ave. and Avenue A in East Flatbush at about 9:50 p.m. Sunday when she was hit, authorities said.

Cops found her lying in the street with severe head injuries. Medics rushed Parker to Brookdale University Hospital, where she died Monday, officials said.

An investigation found that Parker was crossing west on Remsen Ave. outside the crosswalk when she was struck by the vehicle. The car, which police believe was a silver sedan, possibly a Honda, was traveling south on Remsen Ave., officials said.

The hit-and-run driver struck Parker with the passenger-side of the car and she fell to the pavement, according to authorities.

After striking her, the vehicle continued south on Remsen Ave., stopped midblock, then kept going, making a right turn on Avenue A, cops said.
