‘NO HARM DONE’ — REALLY, BLAZ?

Mayor de Blasio has defended NYCHA’s lead paint failures, saying, “Thank God there has not been harm done to any child because of the mistakes that have been made.” That would be news to a dozen NYCHA mothers found by the Daily News, whose kids have lead blood levels above 5 micrograms per deciliter, and many of whom are now in special-education programs:

Tiesha Jones’ daughter Dakota, 4

Tested positive for a blood-lead level of 45 micrograms per deciliter in January 2010. A NYCHA lab had said no lead present. A Bronx jury awarded her $57 million.

Juana Bison’s daughter Y.M., 2

Tested positive for a blood level of 20 micrograms in 2003, months after a NYCHA worker filed an inspection claiming no paint problems with a forged tenant signature. City Health inspectors found lead paint on pipes. NYCHA settled the suit for $240,000.

Marie Howard’s son, D.S.

Tested positive for an elevated level of blood lead in 2017. The apartment tested positive for lead.

Sherron Paige’s son, Kyan Dickerson, 4

Tested positive for a blood level of 12 micrograms in 2017. City Health inspectors found lead in the apartment. NYCHA lab had claimed no lead was present. *Jahlisa Greene’s son, J.W., 3, tested positive for a blood-lead level of 10.9 micrograms in 2015.

Evelyn Gray’s son, P.G., 4

Tested positive for a blood-lead level of 6 micrograms in 2013. City Health inspectors found lead in apartment.

Taneequa Carrington’s child, N.C., 2

Tested positive for an elevated lead level in 2017. NYCHA has found lead paint in Breukelen apartments across the street.

Monica Corbett’s son, Carver

Tested positive for an elevated blood-lead level in 2013. NYCHA has found lead paint in

other units in the mom’s (left) building.

Marleni Herrera’s daughter, Melany, 2

Tested positive for a blood-level of 10 micrograms in 2015. Her unit tested positive for lead before she moved in and supposedly had been “corrected.”

Wilhemina Lowry’s grandson, 5

Tested positive for an elevated lead level after NYCHA found lead there in 2013 and had supposedly “corrected” the problem.

Marleni Herrera’s daughter, Melany, 2

Tested positive for a blood-level of 10 micrograms in 2015. Her unit tested positive for lead before she moved in and supposedly had been “corrected.”

Helen Jackson’s daughter, Makayla, 2

Tested positive for a lead level of 18 micrograms in 2015. City Health inspectors found lead paint in the apartment. NYCHA’s lab test had said there was no lead.
