Daily News ad supervisor dies

ROBERT ORLANDO, a fixture at the Daily News for more than 40 years, has died. He was 65.

The Brooklyn-born Orlando struggled with a variety of health issues before dying last Sunday at a nursing home, according to family members.

He joined The News while a young man, starting in the promotions department and working his way up to advertisin­g production supervisor. Orlando left the Daily News in 2008.

His funeral was set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Brooklyn. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens.

Orlando was predecease­d by his wife Joann, sister Ann Norris and niece Linda. He is survived by his nieces Rose and Angela, along with nephews Wayne, Scott and Christophe­r.
