If it’s your birthday

- FRI., APRIL 13 - SUN., APRIL 21 ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE IN EFFECT FRIDAY AND SATURDAY Near the Van Wyck in Richmond Hill on Saturday, Hindus will celebrate spring with a Phagwah Parade from 2 to 6 p.m. on Liberty Ave. from 134th to 125th Sts., t

SAM The sizzling, Major League-leading N.Y. Mets, return home Friday night to an adoring sell-out crowd to start a six game homestand.

This weekend’s victim is the Milwaukee Brewers tonight and tomorrow night with 7 p.m. starts followed by a 1 p.m. game on Sunday. Friday night’s rush hours through Queens especially from 5:30 p.m. until after 7 p.m., will be super sluggish especially on approaches to Citi Field.

The GCP, LIE, Van Wyck, Northern Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue will all be hit hard. Best bet is transit: Take the 7 express to Citi Field tonight and the “super express” back from all three games. The L.I.R.R. from Penn Station is another great option.

For those Manhattanites driving to the game, crossing the East River will be slower than usual since the Queens Midtown Tunnel has one tube closed from 10 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. Monday.

Queens’ Atlantic Ave. will also be affected as will 101st and 109th Aves.

Saturday, the street is closed between 14th and Eighth Sts. 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a street fair, and for the March for Science further Downtown, where at least one curb lane between Waverly Pl. and Liberty St. Today’s meeting of the Sun and the modern planet Eris says there’s no predicting what the future holds — and that you have every reason to be excited about the prospects for your life. There’s just one condition: You must be resolutely who you are, and not try to be anyone else. There is power flowing through you, and that demands total honesty. You share a birthday with Peabo Bryson, Amy Goodman and Lou Bega. APRIL 20-MAY 20 You’re ready to have a bold revelation or discovery about yourself, one that will take you to a whole new place of selfawareness. Just be on notice that not everyone likes to change their ideas about who they are; though, when it happens, you don’t really have a choice. Growth is inevitable. MAY 21-JUNE 20 Of all the signs, yours is the one that’s most generous with itself about being a different person every day. After all, aren’t we? You can take this privilege now and all of your days, though this weekend will be an especially exciting time to shed all disguises and be a master of personal revelation. JUNE 21-JULY 22 You are rapidly entering new territory in your professional life; and what happens over the next few days represents the sum total of all that you’ve worked for, perhaps without knowing it. What seems shadowy and strange today will be visible in a whole new light, pretty soon. JULY 23-AUG. 22 It was horoscope writer Patric Walker (1931-1995) who said to John and Yoko one night over dinner that, “life is what happens while you’re making other plans.” You are definitely making plans, and you definitely have a life happening. Gradually, you can bring the two together. AUG. 23-SEPT. 22 Trust nothing that you hear, and only half of what you see. Your life is like a dream journey right now, and all you can count on is what you have as verified fact, preferably from three sources. Since you probably don’t have that much confirmed so well, persist in your research — it will pay off. SEPT. 23-OCT. 22 You’re in for an interesting few days in your relationship life, and to some extent it may seem that the whole world has become nothing but strange. To make the most of this situation, you will need to see life from the perspective of an artist or poet: Stand back, and let it all be. OCT. 23-NOV. 21 You never were much for the humdrum. You like your life to be exciting and intriguing and a little strange. You love to have something or someone to figure out, a puzzle to solve, or a mystery to explore. And if all that is true, you’ll really feel in your element for the next few days. NOV. 22-DEC. 21 Whether you consider yourself an artist, a lover or an adventurer, you will have an exciting weekend, and it won’t end there. After a series of spectacular events the next three days, Chiron, one of your planetary guides, enters fire sign Aries, which will add some excitement to your life. DEC. 22-JAN. 19 Every now and then, you decide you really, truly want to break free from the influence and control of your family, and live your life your way. You want to be the person who you are, freed from ties or attachments that hold you back. Sooner or later it has to happen. As in sooner. JAN. 20-FEB. 18 You must shake off any murky feeling you have about yourself, and be decisive about who you are. Skip the whole sweet and innocent bit, and be willing to be someone who confronts and engages life on your own terms. You may think this is unbelievably bold; really, it’s called being alive. FEB. 19-MARCH 20 The Moon will be in your sign for the first part of today. Then it will enter Aries, and a cascade of changes, progress and revelations will take hold of your life. You are entering a time when you will have no choice but to feel good about yourself. And you will rise to the occasion.
