This weekend’s victim is the Milwaukee Brewers tonight and tomorrow night with 7 p.m. starts followed by a 1 p.m. game on Sunday. Friday night’s rush hours through Queens especially from 5:30 p.m. until after 7 p.m., will be super sluggish especially on approaches to Citi Field.
The GCP, LIE, Van Wyck, Northern Boulevard and Roosevelt Avenue will all be hit hard. Best bet is transit: Take the 7 express to Citi Field tonight and the “super express” back from all three games. The L.I.R.R. from Penn Station is another great option.
For those Manhattanites driving to the game, crossing the East River will be slower than usual since the Queens Midtown Tunnel has one tube closed from 10 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. Monday.
Queens’ Atlantic Ave. will also be affected as will 101st and 109th Aves.
