FARROW BACKS SIS – CONFIDENTIAL:

-

FRESH OFF scoring a big story for The New Yorker magazine,

Ronan Farrow is glad his sister Dylan is finally getting good press too.

Early Thursday morning, Farrow added to his fast growing resumé by publishing a huge story about American Media Inc.’s practice of buying stories off the market that could be harmful to President Trump. That followed Farrow’s 2017 series of stories exploring how fixers and corrupt journalists allegedly helped Harvey

Weinstein silence women who’ve accused him of Y sexual misconduct spanning T T several decades. Farrow E G / cites his sister Dylan, P F who in 2014 told The New York Times that their father

Woody Allen had molested her, as an inspiration for his work. The famed filmmaker has denied that charge.

“One of the great inspirations of this entire moment has been to see woman after woman after woman and now man after man to speak out about injustice,” he told us at Variety’s Power of Women event presented by Lifetime on Wall Street. “My sister did that at a very difficult moment when there was less of a climate of support for it and I could not be prouder of her.”

In January, Dylan, now 32, spoke on television for the first time about the claims she first made in The Times four years ago. She repeated her claim that in 1992, when she was 7, Allen touched her inappropriately. The accusation was initially met with some skepticism as Allen denied wrongdoing and was never charged with a crime. But Farrow thinks the #MeToo movement has empowered victims to come forward and media outlets to give them a platform.

“I’m immensely heartened by every source that’s come forward to speak out, every reporter doing good work in an era where there’s so much talk about fake news and that is so weaponized against all of us in our business doing reporting,” he said. “The truth is coming out and, you know, I was just at the office till 3 a.m. breaking that latest story and a lot of hardworking reporters were there with me.”
