This despicable, deplorable devil must be made to pay for the agony he has caused to the children’s families.

Three parents of children murdered by a maniac wielding an assault rifle in Sandy Hook Elementary School are taking legal aim at one of the lowest creatures to crawl on American soil. All decent people should cheer on Leonard Pozner, Veronique De La Rosa and Neil Heslin — parents of 6-year-olds Noah Pozner and Jesse Heslin — for filing a defamation lawsuit in Texas court against Alex Jones.

As a radio show host and the grand poobah of Infowars.com, Jones has peddled wretched whole-cloth lies about the 2012 Newtown massacre: that it was all a hoax, that the victims and their mourning mothers and fathers are actors.

And after penning a playbook that crosses every line of morality, he has recycled it in the wake of other mass shootings, kicking families and survivors in the face just as their worlds have collapsed.

We would challenge Jones to look himself in the mirror, but a vampire can’t see his own reflection.

It would be nice, wouldn’t it, if the President of the United States were among those standing with moms and dads now forced to dredge up the most painful memories imaginable in order to hold a one-man hate factory to account.

After all, Donald Trump has made bank railing against “fake news” and vowing to overhaul libel laws he says are unfair to the defamed.

Alas, to him, while Jim Comey is a “nut job” and “slimeball,” Alex Jones is an ally. In 2016, Trump praised Jones’ “amazing” reputation and vowed, “I will not let you down.”

America’s biggest lowlife has a huge fan in the highest place.
