ALBANY — Some medical marijuana with your coffee?

Etain Inc., one of New York’s licensed medical-marijuana growers, announced Friday that it’s now offering a water-soluble version of the drug that can be mixed into most liquids, including tea, coffee, soup, smoothies and even chocolate syrup.

Etain is the first grower in New York to receive state Health Department approval to offer a water-soluble version of marijuana.

Company officials believe the powder will make it easier for patients to ingest the drug and, hopefully, broaden the appeal of medical marijuana. It is composed solely of plant-based, all-natural ingredients and is formulated with beet sugar and cannabis oil.
