Bette Midler will make a welcome return to Broadway this summer to play another six weeks in the title role of “Hello Dolly!” before the musical bows out. Midler (below) , who won a Tony for her turn as Dolly Levi, will return on July 17, succeeding Bernadette

Peters, who has been playing the role since Midler left in January. Also coming back will be David Hyde Pierce and Gavin Creel.
