‘THE DON’ ASKS RUDY FOR FAVOR

Hiring Rudy Giuliani for your legal team makes as much sense as hiring Donald Trump to do your hair. In other words: Are you serious right now?

Maybe The Donald thinks that since Rudy was known as a racket-busting prosecutor that he’ll fit in seeing how James Comey said Trump is like a mob kingpin.

And now that the Trump campaign is being sued by the Democratic National Committee for, among other things, racketeering, hoodlum expert Rudy is probably happy as the scorpion on the frog and you know how well that turned out for the frog.

So was the President of the United States right to add the anti-racketeering crusader and self-anointed terrorism expert to his legal team?

Well, it’s fine if you don’t mind that one of Rudy’s postmayoralty gigs was lobbying for the brutal terrorist group the Mujahidin e-Khalq, who wanted to be removed from the State Department’s list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

But who knows? Rudy may accomplish what few have been able to do in Trump world last more than a minute without getting kicked to the curb.

Don’t count on it.
