INSULT TO INJURY FOR POWE

Football is brutal. Giants receiver Darius Powe played the entire second half of his NFL debut with a fractured right foot on Dec. 10 against Dallas. But on Monday the Giants waived him anyway.

Powe, 24, broke his foot while making his first career NFL catch that day, an 8-yard pass from Eli Manning just prior to halftime. Powe came back for the second half and added a five-yard reception to give him two catches for 13 yards in his debut as a rookie.
