Feeding frenzy: It’s Wendy’s not Popeyes, gal freaks out

- John Annese

A FURIOUS fast foodie flipped out in a Staten Island Popeyes after she tried to order a from a discount menu you can only find at Wendy’s, police said.

The woman’s ticked-off tirade, which included slamming a chair through a window, was caught on tape, cops said.

The fowl frenzy began when the hot-headed customer tried to get food at the Popeye's on Forest Ave. by Veltman Ave. in Elm Park just after 8:30 p.m. April 8.

She wanted something off the “4 for $4” menu, but soon learned that Popeye's doesn’t have that menu, police sources said. Wendy’s, not Popeyes, offers a “4 for $4” deal.

The woman ordered a meal anyway, sat down to eat and then had words with the employees on the way out, sources said.

Security footage shows her stick her tongue out, wave her middle fingers in the air, swing a large poster board at the front door.

For her fried finale, the woman picked up a chair and bashed in one the eatery’s plate glass windows.

Cops describe the woman (photo) as being between 18 to 25 years old. She was wearing a multi-colored durag, a pink bandana, a pink hoodie, a black jacket and blue jeans.
