Extremely versatile defensive back who can come up in the box, cover tight ends and receivers and tackle at all levels. Green Bay moves back up nine spots after trading down from No. 14 to take man-to-man playmaker who can return kicks.

GIANTS DEFENSIVE lineman Damon Harrison is not letting Josh Allen off the hook as easily as everyone else. Allen’s stock didn’t take too bad of a hit after old, racist tweets he posted years ago surfaced ahead of the NFL Draft. In 2012 and 2013, Allen’s personal Twitter account posted a series of vulgar messages that included offensive rap lyrics and use of the nword. Yet, he was not vilified like Laremy Tunsil was two years ago when the former Ole Miss tackle was ambushed on Draft Day with a video of him taking a bong hit from a gas mask.

Projected to go as high as No. 1, Allen wound up going to Buffalo at 7, the third QB selected behind Browns top pick Baker Mayfield and Jets selection Sam Darnold at No. 3.

There was some fear Allen could pay for his past immaturity Thursday night, but unlike Tunsil, he wasn’t punished by the public or prospective NFL Draft hosts don’t take a wide receiver to replace Dez Bryant, taking 6-4, 250-pound tackler with sideline-tosideline range. Surprisingly, no pass rusher here for new head coach Matt Patricia. Instead, a potential anchor on Detroit’s offensive line. employers. This was not lost on Harrison. “A kid smokes weed and drops to late 1st and out of the 1st round all together,” Snacks tweeted. “Kid says the N word and makes horrible racial comments and goes #7. Some things are tolerated depending on the person I guess. Miss me with all that. Send his ass home.”

Harrison later pointed out “who things will be tolerated from” in the NFL, adding, “Only thing that matters is winning if you’re...never mind. Y’all know what’s up.”

Allen was forced to apologize earlier in the day for his bonehead tweets. Knowing his life would be under a microscope, Allen reportedly scrubbed his social media a year ago but his searches somehow didn’t flag the tweets in question.

“Thank you to the Bills organization for making the leap and putting their faith in me,” said Allen, just minutes after hearing his name called by commissioner Roger Goodell. “I’m going to make them look like the smartest people out there.

“I’m ready to step in and go help this team win football games.”

When asked if he would have to address Another Ohio native staying in-state. Bengals get muchneeded o-lineman who has played both center and guard. Tennessee moves up three spots in trade with Baltimore. First-year coach and ex-Pats LB Mike Vrabel gets multifaceted linebacker. his tweets with his new Buffalo teammates, Allen acknowledged it’s not something he feels he has to do, but “probably will.”

“I want them to know I’m going to be the best teammate possible,”said Allen to ESPN’s Suzy Kolber. “I’ve never had a problem in my past with any teammates.”

For a variety of reasons, racist rants or social media posts don’t typically derail, well, anyone, especially top NFL prospects with as much potential as Allen. These incidents typically end with an apology, whether it was the Eagles’ Riley Cooper or the Virginia Tech women’s lacrosse team or Charlotte Observer reporter Jourdan Rodrigue.

“If I could go back in time, I would never have done this in a heartbeat,” Allen told ESPN Thursday. “At the time, I obviously didn’t know how harmful it was and now has become.

“I hope you know and others know I’m not the type of person I was at 14 and 15 that I tweeted so recklessly . ... I don’t want that to be the impression of who I am because that is not me. I apologize for what I did.” Can play both tackle and guard. Potential blind side protection for Tom Brady as a replacement for new Giant Nate Solder. First WR off the board. Impressed at the combine and a possible steal for Carolina. Could become quick favorite of Cam Newton’s.
