SIMPSONS ‘SMOKE’ ’EM

Maggie Simpson — still a baby after 29 years — shot her animated family into TV history.

The historic 636th episode of “The Simpsons” aired Sunday night on Fox, breaking the record of 635 episodes of the CBS series “Gunsmoke.”

“The Simpsons” teased the recordbreaking episode with a clip of a showdown between Maggie and Marshal Matt Dillon, played on the Western show by James Arness.

“Can’t let you do it. Can’t let you break my record,” Dillon tells Maggie, who promptly shoots him dead.

Elsewhere, Homer excitedly says his “whole life has been leading to this one moment.”
