Drunk driving in his own precinct

AN NYPD police officer was arrested for drunk driving early Sunday after hitting a parked department vehicle — and it happened within the confines of the Brooklyn precinct he serves, cops said.

Miguel Martinez, 38, was behind the wheel of his Toyota RAV4 when he hit the unoccupied cop car at about 2:20 a.m.

Police caught up with him nearby at the intersection of Cypress and Willoughby Aves. in Ridgewood, authorities said.

Police did not reveal the exact location of his fender-bender.

Martinez, a cop in the 83rd Precinct who joined the force in January 2007, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving the wrong way and refusal to take a breath test.
