Fatally struck in a crosswalk

A HIT-AND-RUN driver struck and killed a 54-year-old man crossing the street in Queens early Sunday, cops said. The victim, Jalaluddin Azeemuddin, was struck in the crosswalk on 153rd St. near Hillside Ave. in Briarwood about 12:40 a.m., police said. Officers found him dead in the street with severe trauma to his body. Investigators believe a dark-colored Honda Pilot that was headed west on Hillside Ave. plowed into him.
