Doctor strange won’t return to W. House post
RONNY JACKSON, the White House doctor who withdrew from his Veterans Affairs secretary nomination last week amid allegations he was drunk on the job, will not continue to serve as President Trump’s physician, according to a report.
His replacement will be Navy officer Sean Conley, who stepped into Jackson’s role in March, Politico reported Sunday.
Jackson, a Navy rear admiral who also served as White House doctor under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, withdrew after Montana Sen. Jon Tester, the top Democrat on the Veterans Affairs Committee, revealed allegations that Jackson drank on the job, created a toxic work environment and carelessly handed out prescription pills.
Jackson called the claims “false and fabricated,” while Trump defended him as an “American hero” and called on Tester to resign.
Tester said he’ll “never stop fighting” for the veterans.
