Repub’s returns too few for Andy

- Kenneth Lovett

ALBANY — Republican candidate for governor Marcus Molinaro revealed his most recent tax return Thursday — but it was not enough to satisfy Gov. Cuomo.

Molinaro, the Dutchess County executive, and his wife, Corrine Adams, reported an adjusted gross income of $174,048, the bulk of which came from his salary.

The couple, who paid $24,573 in federal taxes and $9,664 in state taxes, also received $27,000 in rental income from property they own in upstate Red Hook, but they reported a net loss of $8,217 on the property because of taxes, mortgage costs and depreciation.

Cuomo’s campaign called on Molinaro to release his last 10 tax returns, noting the governor and previous candidates have made multiple years public. Cuomo revealed his 2017 tax return last month. He reported an adjusted gross income of $212,776.
