Axed exec sues jailed ‘Bro,’

FOUL-MOUTHED felon Martin Shkreli made life a living hell for a former executive at his pharmaceut­ical company, leading a campaign of harassment against her in emails and on social media, a new lawsuit charges.

Eve Costopoulo­s, the chief compliance officer and general counsel at Turing Pharmaceut­ical, said the now imprisoned “Pharma Bro” repeatedly threatened her employment, made false statements about her and dragged her name through the mud in her industry. “He undertook a campaign of harassment and character assassinat­ion against (Costopoulo­s), both internally via email, as well as publicly on social media platforms such as Facebook,” the lawsuit says.

Even after Shkreli was forced to resign from Turing in December 2015 over pending criminal charges tied to a Ponzi scheme, he continued to exert his influence as the company’s majority shareholde­r, according to the lawsuit.

Ultimately, Costopoulo­s got the ax in 2017 because a vengeful Shkreli was enraged that he could no longer control Turing’s top management, the lawsuit says.
