Torres went 2-for-4 with three RBI on Friday, while Andujar went 2-for-5.

“I should say I’m not shocked by it, because I know how talented these guys are,” Boone said of the young duo. “…But to have it happen this quickly, for them to have the impact that they’re having on a nightly basis and contribute (for) us to win hard games, it’s pretty special.”

Aroldis Chapman had his streak of 14 consecutive saves snapped and threw two wild pitches, one that scored Yan Gomes to make it 6-6 in the ninth.

Meanwhile, veteran starter CC Sabathia took a no decision but was solid yet again: He scattered three hits, striking out seven batters and walking none, while not allowing a run over six innings.

Miguel Andujar had the first walk-off hit of his career with his two-out RBI single in the ninth inning.
