New Cuomo flack

ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo has hired away city Controller Scott Stringer’s press secretary.

Tyrone Stevens will begin as Cuomo’s deputy director of communications for New York City this week, and serve as an on-therecord spokesman.

Stevens had worked for Stringer since August 2016. Before that, he was campaign spokesman for Adriano Espaillat’s successful 2016 Democratic congressional primary. He also worked for City Councilman Mark Levine and Assemblywoman Didi Barrett.
