JANE: 80 IS ENOuGH
Fonda ‘closed up shop’ on dating
JANE FONDA is taking herself out of the dating game.
The actress revealed in an interview this week that she has decided to give it up.
“I’m not dating anymore, but I did up until a couple of years ago,” she told “Extra Sunday” on the red carpet for her upcoming film “Book Club.”
“I’m 80,” she continued. “I’ve closed up shop down there!”
Fonda is starring in the flick about four single women who experience a sexual awakening after reading the erotic thriller “Fifty Shades of Grey” for their book club.
“It’s about very important things: friendship and sex. And that it’s OK for older women to have both,” she explained, despite having a much different outlook in her real life.
Fonda was married three times: to Roger Vadim, from 1965 to 1973; to Tom Hayden, from 1973 to 1990; and to Ted Turner, from 1991 to 2001. She was most recently involved with Richard Perry. The two split in 2017, after eight years together.
The film also stars Diane Keaton, Mary Steenburgen, and Candice Bergen.
It hits theaters on Friday.
