MONICA VS. WILD COUNTRY

- Rachel DeSantis

Town & Country apologized to Monica Lewinsky on Thursday after it invited to her to an event — then uninvited her when former President Bill Clinton RSVP’d to attend the same function.

The lifestyle monthly issued the apology on Twitter a day after Lewinsky (above) had her invitation to its annual philanthropy summit in Manhattan rescinded.

“We apologize to Ms. Lewinsky and regret the way the situation was handled,” Town & Country wrote. Lewinsky had revealed the blunder on Twitter, but didn’t name the magazine.

She also suggested the publication sought to “ameliorate the situation” with “an offer of an article” in the mag. Clinton’s rep claims the former President, who famously had an affair with Lewinsky while in office, had no knowledge of the situation.
