Cyclist is critical after SUV strike

AN SUV plowed into a bicyclist in Brooklyn on Thursday, leaving him critically hurt, police said.

The 29-year-old victim was pedaling on 73rd St. in Bay Ridge when an SUV hit him at Ridge Blvd. at about 9:45 a.m., cops said.

He was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn.

The SUV’s 63-year-old driver remained at the scene and faced no immediate charges.

“(The driver) was injured pretty badly also. She was taken to the hospital and the car was quite damaged,” said Edward Boyadjian, 75, of Bay Ridge, who witnessed the aftermath of the crash.
