Capt. probed over date talk

-

AN NYPD CAPTAIN who once filed a complaint against a superior officer over alleged racist comments has become the subject of a sexual harassment investigation, the Daily News has learned.

Cops are looking into allegations that Yugisteer (Roger) Sankerdial of the 114th Precinct in Astoria, Queens, was overly complimentary about the looks of at least four women police officers.

Sankerdial (photo) allegedly asked them out on dates, claiming he would make them his personal driver or give them similar plum assignments if they slept with him, sources said.

“He would say if they went on a date with him he would take care of them,” a source said. “He would make the female officer feel very uncomfortable. When he would . . . ask, ‘Who wants to drive me?’ they would all run out of the building.” None of his alleged victims has filed an official Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaint with the department, officials said. Sankerdial denies any wrongdoing, said Roy Richter, the president of the NYPD’s Captains Endowment Association. Another source said that the NYPD has yet to corroborate any of the claims. Sankerdial is a Marine veteran promoted to NYPD captain early last year. He has been with the department 16 years. In 2005, Sankerdial, who is Guyanese, and three other officers filed complaints against their Queens North Task Force sergeant, Michael Patrone, accusing him of spewing racist comments when dealing with minority civilians. Patrone ended up losing a few vacation days and ultimately retired.
