The top storylines for the Giants as the rookies head to offseason camp
THE QUARTERBACK is typically the story at rookie minicamp whenever an NFL team drafts one. But this weekend’s Giants two-day camp provides several more layers of intrigue given the magnitude of April’s draft.
Namely, as fourth-round QB Kyle Lauletta out of Richmond throws his first passes as a Giant, all eyes also will be on No. 2 overall pick Saquon Barkley, who faces the pressure of being a savior of sorts for incumbent 37-year-old starter Eli Manning — as well as possibly the future face of the franchise. So here are the top five storylines to follow as rookie camp gets underway at Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford, with morning coach and player availability followed by afternoon practices.
