‘REASONS’ TO TUNE IN – TELEVISION:

- BY JOE DZIEMIANOWICZ

YOU MIGHT get your wish if you’re hoping for justice on “13 Reasons Why.”

The Netflix drama streams its second season on Friday and the burning question is where the series is after the tragic — and graphic — suicide of high schooler Hannah Baker.

A number of sexual assaults come to light thanks to a series of Polaroid pictures that surface, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The outlet notes that Bryce, played by Justin Prentice, will have to deal with his past as the alleged rapist of Hannah (Katherine Langford) and Jessica (Alisha Boe).

And while Hannah is gone, she is not forgotten.

“Hannah’s suicide continues to be very much a part of the story,” showrunner Brian Yorkey told the Reporter. “Justice is definitely a central theme.”

The word “justice” recurs in the trailer released this week.

“There is nothing left worth having except justice for our daughter,” actress Kate Walsh, who plays Hannah’s mom, cries in the teaser.

The trailer ends with Clay (Dylan Minnette), who had an obsessive unrequited crush on Hannah, exclaiming, “I can’t count on anyone else anymore. I have to do this myself. No one’s going to get justice for her.”

“13 Reasons Why” has faced criticism for its controversial content, including the unflinchingly gory depiction of Hannah’s death when she slipped into a bathtub and slit her wrists.

The show doesn’t appear to be shy about courting more controversy in its sophomore season. The teaser includes unsettling scenes of teenagers target shooting with handguns.
