Blocks driveway, assaults couple

A WOMAN blocking the driveway of an elderly Staten Island couple beat up both of them when she was asked to move her van, according to police.

The husband and wife returned from grocery shopping Thursday when they saw the white Ford van blocking their driveway in Grymes Hill.

The 79-year-old woman got out to ask the driver to move and was shoved to the ground, injuring her wrist and shoulder.

The van owner then socked the 80-year-old man in the face, bloodying his nose, police said.

The couple was taken to Richmond University Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Police are looking for a 5-foot-5-inch woman in her 20s weighing 110 pounds.

A man at the couple’s Grande Ave. home, who identified himself as the couple’s son, said “We’ll let the police handle it,” but declined to comment further.
