Teen susp in school shooting
A TEEN boy armed with a Soviet semiautomatic rifle opened fire at a Southern California high school early Friday, hitting a 15-year-old student in the arm, police said.
The victim was rushed to a hospital by a bystander and is expected to recover, officials said.
The 14-year-old alleged shooter fired off “a number” of rounds with the SKS rifle shortly after 7 a.m. and fled the Highland High School campus in Palmdale. He was apprehended at a nearby Vons supermarket, authorities said.
