CARDI B FIRES BACK AFTER AZEALIA CASTS A ‘SPELL’ ON HER

-

Cardi B won’t stand for the haters like Azealia Banks who bashed the hot new rapper for the way she speaks and writes.

The “Bodak Yellow” artist (left) took to Instagram Saturday afternoon with a lengthy post calling out Banks after she labeled Cardi “a caricature of a black woman” during an interview with The Breakfast Club on Friday.

“The difference between me and you, I’ve never pretended to be or represent someone I’m not! I’ve made it where I am for being myself and staying true to that,” Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, wrote.

Banks bashed the Bronx-born rapper’s grammar and spelling during her Friday interview, saying: “If my spelling and grammar was that bad, I’d be canceled. If Nicki Minaj spelled like that, we would be ragging on her all day.”

Cardi, who is Dominican and Trinidadian, responded in an Instagram post, “I can do both, and speak 2 languages fluently. Just because I mix a few words up forget to use commas or misspell a few words doesn't make me illiterate and doesn't make me stupid." Nicole Bitette
