Cops search for subway punch goon

PLEASE STAND clear of the raging commuter.

Cops are asking the public’s help finding a man who inexplicably sucker-punched a stranger on a Queens subway train.

On Saturday police released cell phone photos of the suspect taken by witnesses to the assault.

The assailant (photo) stormed up to his 29-year-old victim on a No. 7 train approaching the 46th St./Bliss St. station in Sunnyside about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday and punched him without warning.

The brawler dashed off the train at the station and disappeared, cops said.

Medics took the victim, who lives in North Corona, to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was treated for a swollen lip and a deep cut to his face.

The suspect is described as Hispanic and 6-foot-1 with black hair and a light mustache and goatee. He was wearing a light green shirt, a blue-and-gray windbreaker and dark green pants.
