Drunken spree with 4 kids in car

- John Annese

A LONG ISLAND man kicked off Mother’s Day by drunkenly driving his SUV across two lawns and into a parked car, while his girlfriend and her four kids went along for the hell ride, police said.

George Campbell, 26, was hit with leaving the scene and Leandra’s Law charges, for driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, after the 1:25 a.m. crash in Lake Ronkonkoma, authorities said.

Campbell (photo) was driving a 2004 Infiniti Q56 on Gatelot Ave. when he veered across two front lawns, crashed into a parked 2018 Toyota — and kept driving, cops said.

Suffolk County police found him driving on two flat tires and pulled him over.

His girlfriend and her four children — a 3-year-old girl and three boys, ages 16, 10 and 7 — were uninjured, cops said. The kids were released to their mom’s custody.

Campbell, a Calverton resident, was arraigned and ordered held on $15,000 bond or $5,000 cash.

Leandra’s Law is named for Leandra Rosado, an 11-year-old Chelsea girl killed in a booze-fueled crash on the Henry Hudson Parkway in 2009.
