Sarge gets trolled for boss gripe

- BY GRAHAM RAYMAN

A BLACK NYPD sergeant has become a target for nasty online insults because he filed a civilian complaint after his lieutenant yelled at him.

Posting to a chat board run by a company that tutors cops, current and retired officers lambasted Sgt. Damian Mackintosh for making the complaint after his internal gripe was ignored by his commanders.

“I just want to squat and take a fat hot dump on his face,” read one particularly harsh attack posted by “Sgt2b.” “This guy needs to be buried somewhere there aren’t any cops for him to manage.”

Another wrote, “He got yelled at and had to run and make a complaint. Grow the f--- up.”

Mackintosh, 43, told the Daily News that he took the uncommon step of filing the CCRB complaint after Lt. Jonathan Blatt, who is white, cursed him out on Jan. 25 in Housing Police Service Area 1, which covers south Brooklyn.

He said his precinct commander, Deputy Inspector Neteis Gilbert, and Brooklyn South Investigations refused to discipline Blatt.

Instead, they offered to “apologize on Blatt’s behalf,” according to Mackintosh.

The CCRB kicked it back to the NYPD, citing a policy that stipulates on-duty complaints be handled by the police department.

Not everyone who posted on the site expressed ill will toward Mackintosh.

“The Lieutenant is almost as bad,” wrote “GTHR.” “While I always find it amusing to watch, if you have to scream and curse at someone on this job like an EDP you’re doing it wrong.”

Others tried to talk some sense. “Lts yelling at Sgts, Sgts yelling at cops is something that needs to stop,” mike16 wrote. “You are just a supervisor, you don’t own the police department. This is not private business owned by somebody.”

Blatt did not return a request for comment.

Mackintosh’s complaint remains under investigation. He did not comment on what was written on the Rising Star Promotions board.
