Mooch vs. Mouthpiece show is pitched
SOMETIMES THE Mooch is stranger than fiction.
Trump-boosting ex-White House aide Anthony Scaramucci may soon get his own TV show to butt heads with highprofile Trump critic Michael Avenatti, according to network insiders.
Prominent TV agent Jay Sures has recently pitched a show concept to CNN and MSNBC in which the Mooch would square off against Avenatti in a political tête-à-tête, CNN media correspondent Brian Stelter confirmed via Twitter.
The New York Times first reported Sures’ outreach. Multiple spokespeople for CNN and MSNBC declined to comment.
Both Mike and the Mooch both threw cold water on the prospect of the show happening.
Scaramucci (photo), the onetime White House communications director, tweeted the name of the show should be “Not Happening.”
Avenatti, the Stormy Daniels lawyer who’s suing Trump and his attorney Michael Cohen and has become a cable TV fixture, tweeted, “I have no interest in television right now.”
