Man, 36, fatally shot in Brooklyn
A 36-YEAR-OLD man was fatally shot in a bloody confrontation in Brooklyn on Saturday morning, police said.
The victim was blasted in the chest and leg on Decatur St. near Thomas Boyland St. in BedfordStuyvesant around 7:45 a.m., witnesses told police.
The gunman ran off and hasn’t been caught, police said.
According to police sources, the victim was uncooperative when questioned by cops at Brookdale University Hospital before he died.
Bedford-Stuyvesant and neighborhoods in the 73rd Precinct have seen a sharp spike in murders this year.
Through May 13, seven people have been killed, compared with two in the same period last year, according to NYPD statistics.
