MOTHER FIT FOR A QUEEN

Not since Henry VIII defied God and the Pope to marry Anne Boleyn has a red-haired royal been this hot, handsome and — whew! — lustful as Prince Harry was when he looked at Meghan Markle. The second he lifted her veil the temperature in that old church went up a few hundred degrees. Was it hot in there or just me?

And not since Anne Boleyn, has a bride defied every custom to marry into the weirdos of Westminster.

She’s American, she’s biracial, she’s a “commoner,” she’s an actress, she’s older than her prince, she was raised by a single hippie mom (photo with Meghan) with a nose earring, and she’s divorced. What about any of that is “common?”

And as radical as it was for Henry VIII to marry Boleyn in secret, it was almost more so for Harry to marry a very American goddess in public, who put her African-American roots on full display as she joined the whitest, most tradition-cloaked family on Earth.

Mostly, though, the person who deserves praise for making her girl into a wondrous woman is Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland. Despite what the religious right would have you believe, you don’t have to have a traditional family to raise great kids who are unconventional, unafraid and yes, most un-common.
