ANTHONY LYNN
Football coaches often become do-as-I-say preachers, but when a coach returns to college 25 years after he left campus to earn his bachelor’s degree it’s hard to question his commitment and credibility. That’s what Lynn, the Chargers head coach, did when he spent the past year finishing up his degree (most of his work was done online) at UNLV (he had left Texas Tech six hours short of a degree to sign with the Broncos). Lynn said he could’ve done this sooner. “This time, I thought no more excuses,” he said. “I need to go back and get it done.”
