If it’s your birthday

-

You have the gift of being able to see through life: What is opaque to others is transparent to you. And for this reason you love life in a way that people around you may not understand. Now you are being granted the gift of empathy; of being able to feel into the mysterious spaces, and understand what motivates others and, closer to home, yourself. You share a birthday with Peggy Cass, Leo Sayer and the Notorious B.I.G. MARCH 21-APRIL 19 The key to getting along with people is communicating with them. To the extent that you can carry on a conversation, you are free to be whoever you want. If you seem happy, grounded and basically sane, people will give you a lot of room to be as eccentric as you want to be. APRIL 20-MAY 20 Learn how to work by consensus. One of the great trainers in this field, C.T. Butler, once revealed the secret to me. He said:Start on the level of values and goals. Seek common ground on what matters the most. Then, agreeing on the methods is relatively easy and straightforward. MAY 21-JUNE 20 The Sun has entered your sign overnight, and it’s now officially your time of year. There are two themes that will prevail, which many people think have nothing in common. One is money and financial arrangements; the other is spiritual. In truth, they are the same thing. JUNE 21-JULY 22 Venus is now in your sign, and it’s been joined by the meaningful asteroid Pallas Athene. This will focus an issue: In affairs of the heart, do you revert to strategy, or do you just express yourself as a loving being? The two approaches are, for the most part, mutually exclusive. JULY 23-AUG. 22 You will need to make a conscious effort to keep your grounding and sense of purpose today. I suggest you focus on the one thing that really matters: the thing you know you have to get done no matter what. Once you’ve gotten that most of the way complete, or even well begun, you’ll feel better. AUG. 23-SEPT. 22 You may be feeling a bit lost and bewildered until the Moon enters your sign at about 10 p.m. Eastern time. Between now and then you get a real-time lesson in what it means for the Moon to be “void of course” – an odd sense of drift, which can be quite pleasant if you relax and don’t push too hard. SEPT. 23-OCT. 22 There are some people with whom you will want to take a warm approach, and others where a cool and more distant approach is necessary. There are some situations where you will want to use empathy and sensitivity, and others where you will need to apply logic. Choose carefully. OCT. 23-NOV. 21 How have the past few days been for you, in terms of getting along with others? Are you meeting interesting, slightly odd types, or are people getting in your face and hassling you? Looking on the bright side, you now have access to some genuinely creative and eccentric people. NOV. 22-DEC. 21 You may find yourself in a long conversation with a lover. Do your best to listen and don’t feed the flow of words any more than you have to. Seek understanding, and take the discussion to the emotional and physical levels as gently as you can. Words only go so far. DEC. 22-JAN. 19 A number of situations in your life may have the feeling that they will spin out of control; but they will not, if you keep your cool. You don’t have to react or even respond to anyone other than in your own good time. Give that hot-headed side of your nature a vacation this week. JAN. 20-FEB. 18 You must find a creative way to vent your energy. That could be art, it could be sex, it could be rock and roll. It can be anything but conflict. Take any opportunity to let people have their way, especially when it doesn’t actually matter to you. Choose what is important, and negotiate. FEB. 19-MARCH 20 The Sun has entered the cozy corner of your solar chart, which is suggesting that your best fun will be at home. There is romance in the picture, which might flourish even amid the ice water that so much of the social world is floating in. Keep your light on, and stay warm. You are loved.
